Reporting to: Software Team Leader
You will be responsible for working with a Senior Developer on designated software features, taking responsibility for providing solutions to complex problems. Implementation, testing and documentation skills are all required.
THE COMPANY
Our client is a specialist software development centre, they have a strong track record in providing a dynamic and challenging working environment where ability and commitment is rewarded with technical and career progression. You will be joining a highly academic team, and a 1st class degree, Masters, or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science is highly desirable.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Strong background in C++ Development in an academic and commercial environment.
- Good mathematical understanding (particularly algorithms).
- Ability to work comfortably with multiple coordinate spaces, and transform between them is essential, this requires a strong academic background.
- Ability to take responsibility for delivering simple product features, in all their related aspects (specification, design, estimation, coding, testing, documentation, support).
Candidates MUST have a degree in computer science or mathematics and be comfortable with dealing with complex problems and advanced mathematics/algorithm problems.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
Familiarity with modern software engineering techniques, such as agile / SCRUM methodologies.
C# experience.
KEY SKILLS
C#, C++, algorithms, mathematics, maths, physics, software engineer, 3D imaging.
