Our client is currently the fifth largest multi-disciplinary company in Europe, with operations in UK, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany and France. This incorporates divisions within the Transport, Water, Environment and Building sectors. The Building Services team are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

Job
You will be the Lead designer on small and medium sized projects, or part of a project team on major commissions. With responsibility for planning and managing the delivery of the design elements of the project (including time and cost), either alone or through multi-discipline project teams.
You will be involved in;
*Assisting the Principal Engineer with client liaison and ensuring that the project meets the clients objectives and requirements. You will act as key client contact for project delivery on a daily basis.
*You will ensure that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and carried out in accordance within agreed timescales and within agreed budgets.
*You will ensure that all work is carried out in full compliance with the Companys Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
* You will be able to take on significant elements of the detailed design personally.
* You will be able to provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and to assist, where practicable, in the mentoring and development of staff.
*You will be capable of working on their own initiative, with minimal supervision.
*You will be able to work in close collaboration with team members of other disciplines and have an appreciation of their role
* You will be able to participate in the preparation/presentation of proposals/bids as required including estimating timescales and costs for proposed works.
*You will be able to act as Project Manager on small to medium sized/risk projects and assist with the management of teams for a particular programme of work with a view to develop financial and project management
