Role: Region Financial Reporting Accountant (Assistant Accountant)
Location: Aberdeen
Source's client are a leading oil service company and are seeking a part qualified (or equivalent) accountant to join their Region Finance Team.
Duties will include:
1.Assist with monthly financial reporting, including the following:
Creation and updating of monthly internal reports that are distributed to the Region
Assist with compiling the results for the Region Controllers reports
2.
Assist with the monthly close process for Region HQ, including:
Review of Region HQ profit and loss accounts, investigation of unusual costs, posting of accruals and prepayments
Recharging costs to other locations as appropriate
3.Monthly reporting of several small non-trading entities including:
Confirmation of inter company balances
Calculating and posting monthly foreign exchange movements
4.Consolidation of forecast and budget information submitted from the Region
5.Preparation of other monthly reports and reconciliations, as necessary, to assist the Region accounting team with their review of the financial results and provide ad-hoc information to Region Product Line Managers as requested
6.Prepare monthly reconciliation of capital expenditure reported against spend per AFE system for the Region, investigating and consolidating reasons for variances
7.Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
Candidates should be studying towards a relevant industry qualification.
