Job Description
A leading investment management firm is recruiting a Business Analyst to join their Investment Management Services (IMS) team on a permanent basis.
The Business Analyst works collaboratively with Programme / Project Managers of the ongoing IMS programme, providing additional support to both existing and new projects.
Responsibilities:
’ Ensuring effective working relationships with all key customers i.e. Equity, Fixed Income, Centralised Dealing Desk, Risk Management and Performance Measurement to name a few
’ Demonstrating the ability to develop effective working relationships with external suppliers
’ Working with customers to ensure that business requirements are clearly understood, ensuring that these requirements are accurately reflected in project documentation and supporting the project objectives.
’ Working with the IT team to ensure successful functional delivery of any IT components applicable to the project
’ Participation within a medium sized project team helping to ensure that appropriate project disciplines are adhered to.
’ Responding to all queries and requests for information efficiently & effectively
’ Day to day management of project Risks & Issues ensuring escalation to the Project Manager as appropriate
’ Ensuring the introduction of changes to new βbusiness as usual' processes and procedures are managed effectively from a derivatives operational perspective
Knowledge & Experience Required:
’ Working knowledge of Investment process and Fund Management in general e.g., Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, etc
’ Working knowledge of Investment Administration function.
’ Working knowledge of Project Lifecycle
’ Experience of working closely with business partners to manage change
’ Experience of gathering and interpreting user requirements
’ Experience of compiling issues logs and ensuring progress to resolution is made
