Head of Procurement

As the Head of Procurement, you will have an opportunity to contribute to our client' s overall ability to achieve it' s business objectives by leading the procurement division and setting the strategic direction to ensure that our client achieves best value from spend with suppliers and other third parties.

Key Personal Criteria Required

The successful applicant will need to be able to operate at a strategic level with Executive Committee members. In doing so, the jobholder must be willing and capable of influencing and challenging the thoughts and views of the Executive Committee.

Qualifications / Experience:

Degree or equivalent through experience/professional qualification (e.g. Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply).

Considerable procurement experience, with a demonstrable depth of experience in a senior role with leadership responsibilities.

In-depth knowledge of procurement practices.

Establishing and driving the implementation of commercially focused procurement strategies as well as delivering internal consultancy services to senior/top management teams.

Initiating and managing change which impacts positively on the bottom line.
