Job Description

A large asset management company is recruiting a Head of System Improvement to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a senior management role situated in the Data & Process Improvement department within the company. The successful candidate will be expected to engage closely with key stakeholders within the business and lead a small team.

  • €’ Developing or changing applications against business requirements

  • €’ Ensuring quality of deliverables via good design practices and high levels of unit testing

  • €’ Working closely with a small team of analysts and developers

  • €’ System configuration

  • €’ Work with external and internal stakeholders to enable successful delivery

  • €’ Promote a strong process improvement culture, that encourages challenge and learning and helps the business to improve efficiency and performance

  • €’ Use excellent communication skills to present, report on progress and influence decisions at a senior level

  • €’ Participate in the prioritisation of resources and budgets to meet objectives

Candidates will ideally have a detailed knowledge of Investment Management and a strong knowledge of the financial services industry. Experience in database design and an ability to think strategically and see the big picture is required along with excellent communication and presentation skills. A professional attitude and an imaginative and proactive approach is also required, along with experience in the following:

  • €’ C#

  • €’ Visual Studio 2005 and 2008

  • €’ .Net 2.0 and 3.5

  • €’ SQL Server 2000 and 2005
