Mixed Signal IC Test Engineer - Edinburgh - Permanent - £40k - £45k basic

We are looking for 2 Test Engineers to develop production test solutions for high volume manufacture of Mixed Signal semiconductors.

You will be responsible for the development of robust production test solutions within agreed timescales and have ownership of both Test time and yield to meet cost requirements.

The right candidate will have substantial test experience, gained within a Linear/Analogue background, which will mean that you have an in depth knowledge of producing mixed-signal IC tester development solutions, and you will also have knowledge of Teradyne Catalyst and/or Teradyne Ultra-Flex testers

Duties and responsibilities

* Development of production test solutions for high volume manufacture of Mixed Signal semiconductors.
* Characterisation of new designs during the development phase and verify conformance to the specification.
* Production support throughout product life cycle including yield, test cost and customer support
* Able to design, code and debug production test solutions to agreed time scales
* Communication with test and assembly contractors.
* Visits to test and assembly sub contractors as required.
* Mentors/coaches others
* Development of Engineering samples test program to meet project and customer needs

Problem Solving Skills

* Developing new test solutions.
* Complex test program debug - including multi-site interactions and dependencies
* Works on complex projects of duration 6-12 months duration and completes within agreed time scales.
* Identifies new techniques for solving complex problems.
* Supports up to two complex projects delivered on time.

Education
You will have a degree in electronic engineering or other engineering related discipline.
