Job Description

Actuarial Analyst (solvency 2)-Insurer-Edinburgh-£40-60k My client are a very global insurer looking for capital modelling, actuarial analysts at different levels to be involved in the Solvency II implementation. Outstanding opportunity for actuarial analysts to be involved in exciting projects both long and short term. Applicants will preferably be capital modelling actuaries with experience in ICA, QIS, for Solvency 2, and come from life insurance background. Core accountabilities for role: * Valuation systems maintained to ensure the production of accurate financial reports and returns. * Business system enhancements specified to improve access to, and validity of valuation data. Resultant changes tested. * Valuation data extracted from source systems and analysed to allow the investigation of any anomalies. * Valuation information, HMT and liability reports produced for actuarial management and external bodies to meet customer and statutory requirements. * Expert advice on valuation systems provided to internal customers to enable them to best meet their business requirements.
