THE OPPORTUNITY
We have a fantastic unique opportunity for a Transport Planner who is both approaching Principal level and looking to further their career or someone who is currentlyat Principal level and looking to progress to Associate level.
Our client, who are experienced and professional transport consultants and are extremely well recognised in England with 8 offices, have opened an office in central Edinburgh and are looking for a Transport Planner to help them establish this office.
Initially working on your own, this is an excellent opportunity for you to utilise your business development skills and with the support of the company speak to a variety of potential clients such as retailers, house builders and developers in order to gain transport work.
Initially you will work closely with the Newcastle office and will report directly to them; thereafter there is the chance for you to be running the Edinburgh office along with a small team of staff.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Our client requires you to have a relevant degree and a minimum of 5 years private sector experience.You will have sound experience in development planning and transport issues, such as Transport Assessments, TIA’s and planning regulations.This position would suit someone currently working in an engineering consultancy.
Knowledge of the relevant computer packages would be very beneficial along with good written English skills.
This role requires you to be enthusiastic and confident in your business development skills
