Business Analyst Location: Edinburgh Salary: £highly competitive Benefits Package: excellent Reporting to: Project Manager As a Business Analyst within the Accounting Client Access team, you will predominantly serve as the liaison contact between IT and business end-users. Duties will include; assess requests, produce detailed business requirements and review/produce specifications for any new/change to technology applications. Working closely with Technical Analysts and the development team, you will ensure detailed understanding is agreed. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing and documenting business requirements, determining priorities, and advising business teams on options, risks, and costs. Recommendations, including impact analysis across other lines of business will be a key activity. Presentation skills are essential as are the use of cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews. Provide relevant test scenarios for the testing team. Work with test team to develop system integration test scripts and ensure the testing results correspond to the business expectations A high level of client contact will form part of this role and experience of dealing with clients is essential. You will be involved in gathering business requirements from clients (both prospective and existing clients), proposing solutions and must be able to present both high level concepts and detailed plans to clients Some travel will be required.
