| Our client have a vacancy for a Quantity Surveyor. They have been working for over 20 years as an interior contractor providing a high quality fit-out service to the commercial, retail and leisure sectors in Scotland and beyond. The company started working on partition systems and now can provide a principal contractor and all trades service plus project management. Many of their employees have been with the company since it started in 1985 and over the years more specialist staff have joined. This would be an ideal move for those looking to fast track their career and assist in the development of team members. You may currently be working for a PQS and looking for a career change and this role is office based with site visits as necessary. Our client can offer a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding company (they currently have a turnover of circa £7 million) and as such this vacancy offers significant career prospects and the opportunity for quick recognition. Experience of the fit-out industry would be an advantage but is not essential. You will be providing astute cost management advice, robust financial reporting and you should have an aptitude for negotiation. The key responsibilities associated with this role are cost planning at all stages of procurement, interim valuations, managing change control, financial reporting and final accounts.
