Oracle DBA's - Financial Services
Location: Edinburgh City Centre
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000
Reporting to: Line Manager

THE COMPANY
A large multi-national financial organisation offering unrivaled career opportunities and options for career progression. They require bright, passionate, versatile Oracle DBA's to jump start one of their biggest projects to date.
ROLE EXPERIENCE
Analyse, design, build and test utilities to improve the development environment and database support.
Work closely with the DBA team to improve and maintain security and auditing.
Support the Application Development team in the use of developed utilities.
Carry out performance tuning of existing applications.
Contribute to the development of current standards and procedures, and use current standards and procedures in all tasks.
Key Skills
Developers are expected to be involved on the full development life cycle. This will require successful candidates to demonstrate:-
Strong technical skill
Ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical staff
Strong time management and organisation skills
A high level of Oracle and PL/SQL experience is essential for this role (preferably 10G or above).
An understanding of the security, role management and object dependencies within Oracle is also essential.
Experience of performance tuning SQL and PL/SQL is preferred.
It would also be of interest if candidates had experience in the financial services industry
