Health & Safety Advisor, central Scotland.
Duties will be toassist the site management in establishing project based safety systems such as inductions, consultation meetings and safety inspection rotas.

Key Responsibilities
Assist the Project management in the preparation and delivery of safety briefing sessions - procedural and specific.Attendance at site project meetings & consultation meetings with contractors and client.
Assist the client in the promotion of the project to the local community.i.e. school visits.
Keep abreast of current health and safety legislation and maintain a high personal standard of safety conduct in the office and on site.Monitor and review company procedures with the construction delivery teams ensuring compliance.
Produce reports as necessary to the project team and to the safety department, reportingany safety issues to the project staff and ensuring that appropriate action is taken to rectify unsafe situations.
Collate evidence for internal safety audits and verification audits.Assist in the investigation and reporting of accidents, compiling and maintaining accident statistics.Assist site staff in the preparation of risk assessments & method statements.Review risk assessments and safe systems of work applicable to the project.
Provide advice on occupational health and safety legislation, ACOPs, company procedures and best practice to Subcontractors, Operatives, Supervisors, Managers and Directors
Undertake site inspections that include office based checks and documentation as appropriate.Stop work that is deemed to be unsafe.Undertake joint safety inspections with subcontractor personnel and client.Deliver any on site training such as abrasive wheels, legislation updates, good practice workshops.Develop safety alerts as necessary.Carry out tool box talks.Establish a working relationship with the HSE.Chair Safety committee and produce minutes for site distribution
