Role & Requirements
Are you self motivated and customer focused? If you join us as a member of our station gateline staff you will be the face of First ScotRail at one of our stations, ensuring a warm greeting and supplying a higher than expected level of information. Working closely with our customers you will provide a feeling of safety, security and well-being.
You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the automatic ticket gates. In addition to providing the very best in customer service and information you will check tickets and also monitor passenger flow using CCTV cameras.
If you believe you can contribute to our customers choosing to travel with us, we would like to hear from you. We are looking for evidence of a track record in delivering high levels of customer service and how you have used your excellent communication skills in previous roles.
You must be able to demonstrate previous front-line customer service experience involving customer assistance, health safety and security. You must have strong customer focus and be an enthusiastic and friendly person with excellent listening, communication and problem solving skills. It is important that you work well within a team and also be able to demonstrate individual initiative when required.
Medical Fitness
Due to the nature of the post and rail industry safety requirements there are certain medical & fitness standards that you would require to meet. Hours of Work
35 hours per week including shift and weekend working. Earliest start 0600 and latest finish 0000 hours.
Reference Salary and Benefits
Trainee salary £12,560 per annum. On completion of training basic salary is £17,053 per annum.
