For this position you can expect to be involved in the following duties:
- Working on behalf of both the client and the contractor ensuring that projects are built to client specification and as agreed on contract
- Liaising with both parties: Client and Contractor developing relationships to ensure a smooth running project
- Audit and monitor progress of work
- Review and comment on commissioning and testing programmes
- Snagging Matters
- Signing and Issuing acceptance certificates
- Mentoring and advising junior level staff in the area
For this role the ideal candidate must:
- Have demonstrable experience working in the PPP/PFI environment, preferably in an independent certifying role
- Be very personable in order to have the ability to build up a good rapport with both client and contractor
- A good understanding of the construction environment and built environment
- An eye for detail
- Have experience in compliance reviews
- Have previously organised Pre-Inspection Workshops
- Been involved in policy procedure plans
- Have organised snagging lists
- Have experience in design audits and design to construction compliance checks
- Have a ability to negotiate a construction site and also experience working with on site matters
