    Our City Centre based client is seeking an experienced PR Assistant to join a professional and well known international company.

    This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their existing PR career within a modern and friendly environment.

    Main Responsibilities

    * Enhancing the volume and quality of coverage to maximise its corporate positioning and marketing promotions.
    * Providing support for internal communication initiatives and produce the staff newsletter.
    * Supporting Global PR Manager in creation and implementation of PR plan
    * Provide PR support for Corporate PR initiatives
    * Producing press communications
    * Managing the press in box, media enquiries, ensuring that enquiries are dealt with promptly
    * Assist in managing and maintaining relationships with key press contacts/publications
    * Maintaining and developing media centre and media distribution lists.
    * Develop and maintain relevant PR documents on the Intranet
    * Develop an understanding of key issues in the Energy sector
    * Promoting value of PR and raising the internal visibility of key successes
    * Adapt strong working relationships within marketing team
    * Provide first class customer service, above and beyond expectations.

    * Of Graduate Calibre in Public Relations, Marketing or Business related discipline, with good experience from a PR or Communications employment.
    * Knowledge of the Energy Industry, Business-to-Business or Professional Services is desired
    * Strong desire to build a career in PR
    * Flexible approach as unsocial hours will be required when appropriate.

    * Strong planning and organisation skills are essential
    * Ability to manage several simultaneous projects and media requests to tight deadlines
    * To take initiative and deliver projects unsupervised
    * Excellent customer focussed attitude and be confident in dealing with senior business leaders
    * Advanced communication & team working skills
    * Excellent writing, creative thinking and proof reading skills
    * Good Attention to Detail
    * Enthusiastic, flexible, reliable, tenacious
    * Articulate and well spoken with confident telephone manner
    * Ability to quickly grasp and communicate complex PR enquiries at all levels
    * Ability to work to prescribed processes
    * Excellent Internet knowledge and full MS Office knowledge
